Judge: Hampton owes beach preachers $35K in legal fees

HAMPTON — A federal judge has ordered the town to pay $35,000 in legal fees incurred by a pair of street preachers to defend themselves against a wrongful arrest, in addition to a $5,000 settlement to both and annulment of their arrest records.

LANCASTER - The Zoning Board of Appeals has been named as a co-defendant in the March 2 Land Court lawsuit over use of the town firing range because of legal formality, according to Town Administrator Orlando Pacheco.
