Court: NY’s appointed lt gov can keep post during legal dispute; can’t preside in NY Senate (The San Francisco Examiner)

NEW YORK — An appeals court has ruled that Richard Ravitch, an oftentimes adviser to New York governors, can continue serving as the state’s lieutenant governor pending a legal challenge over his appointment — but he cannot preside over the state Senate.
